“Medical Center I – Elena” Ltd. is a medical enterprise for providing specialized pre-hospital care. The professional treatment in the center is assured by doctors with different specialization: surgery, midwifery, gynaecology, endocrinology, dermatology, neurology, ears, nose and throat, pediatrics, physiotherapy, radiology. At the center there is a well equipped physiotherapy as well as a medical lab for abdominal endocrinology.

The hospital of Elena has an over 120 year’s long history. It turned out that it was one of the first hospitals open after the Liberation. Established in 1880, there worked medical men originators of the healthcare in the new state: dr. Ivan Stoykov, dr. Yonas Basanavichus, dr. Yordan Bradel, dr. Dimitar Mollov, dr. Sava Mirkov, dr. Hristo Momchilov, etc… In the 60ies and 70ies of the last century here started their professional and scientific career recognized names in Bulgarian healthcare such as academician Nikolay Minkov, prof. Yordan Sheytanov, dr. Aleksandar Konakchiev. The Hospital

Multi-profile hospital for active treatment “Doctor Dimitar Mollov – Elena” Ltd. Has been a trade company since the year of 2000. All treatments and activities provided in the hospital are fully co-ordinated with the valid medical state law and the relevant law statements.

The hospital is based in a massive two and three storey building. A part of it is new built and the south wing is completely renovated. In accordance with the main medical subjects there are 54 beds in four sections: section for internal diseases -8 beds; children's section – 10 beds; gynaecological section – 10 beds; surgical section -10 beds with new modern equipped surgery.

The hospital possesses all the necessary equipment and health diagnostic appliances, competent medical staff. It also ensures twenty-four-hour healthcare and consultations for emergency cases. The finance is provided by Regional Health Insuarance Fund, Veliko Tarnovo branch. The hospital ensures all needed medicines.
